THE TEAM AT BRISBANE CITY CRANES

Joseph and Sheree Conti, Directors of Brisbane City Cranes established the company in 2010. Joe’s background in construction prompted the purchase of their first crane a 16T Kobelco City Crane to assist in their own projects. Joe’s connections in the construction industry quickly created opportunities for the expansion of the fleet in 2013, with the addition of a 45T Liebherr City Crane.
Over the last 13 years, the fleet has expanded to include Franna’s, Tidd’s, 16T & 20T Tadano’s 50T and 60T Liebherr’s, a 110T Crawler Crane and more recently a 100T & 150T Grove. The growth of the business has been the direct result of providing quality people and equipment and having competent operators & riggers passionate about the industry and the service they provide.
With Joe returning to the construction industry, Sheree continues to lead the team with a focus on continuing the growth of the company with the expertise of General Manager, Billy Sasalu.

General Manager

Billy Sasalu is the General Manager of Brisbane City Cranes. He started in the crane and construction industry in 2007 where he worked for Lang O’Rourke as a Rigging Trade Assistant.
Through numerous construction projects, he worked his way up to an open crane operator, acquiring valuable knowledge and experience from his peers. Billy joined Brisbane City Cranes in 2013 as a dogman and then a crane operator within a short period of time. After a few years, he expanded his experience by leaving and working with larger cranes from 130T to 350T capacity. This positioned him very well in 2019 when he returned to the company as an Operations Manager and now the General Manager.
In this role, he is key to ensuring that Brisbane City Cranes delivers quality, safe and efficient services to its clients, through the recruitment and retention of experienced key personnel.
Billy provides specialist advice to clients regarding crane requirements, and detailed lift plans and oversees the entire operations of the company.
